The Paradise Performing Arts Center brings a new performing arts mission to the historic Loew’s Paradise: celebrating artistic voices that reflect its community and widening access to live experiences.

Music, theater, dance, comedy, and film all belong in the conversation. Discover our plans for new places to dine, gather, perform, and share stories.

Almost a century
of wonder

Designed by John Eberson, the Paradise opened on September 7, 1929 as one of five Loew’s Wonder Theatres. Its atmospheric auditorium evokes an Italian garden beneath a night sky.

Following closure in 1994 and restoration, the theater reopened in 2005. Its exterior and interior are New York City landmarks.
